How are networks classified?
Computer networks are classified by size. This classification determines the physical media and protocols required for its operation, so we have defined three types:
1) Networking Wide Area or WAN (Wide Area Network).
2) Metropolitan Area Networks or MAN (Metropolitan Area Network).
3) Local Area Networks or LAN (Local Area Network) .
How is the operation of a network WAN ?
constitutes networks that connect networks LANs in locations that are geographically separated.
How is the operation of a network MAN ?
are metropolitan networks.
How is the operation of a network LAN ?
This network allows communication of workstations together and Servers.
WHICH IS A NETWORK AD HOC ?
An ad hoc network typically refers to any set of networks where all nodes have the same status within the network and are free to associate with any other device ad hoc network in the range link.
